UGO by David Sears is a new type of restaurant, blending unique food with an equally unique environment. David’s creations blend three very different cuisines, Peruvian, Brazilian and Japanese. UGO offers three very different spaces with their own atmosphere and charm. The design utilizes traditional Japanese materials, such as bamboo and slate integrates them in an extremely contemporary way.
The concept behind the project is "juxtapose", the ingredients juxtapose each other and so does the space. The lower level houses the traditional inset Japanese dining room with a quiet atmosphere, the upper level contains the more upbeat atmosphere with the sushi bar and lounge. Guests will be encouraged to experience the indoor-outdoor space on the second floor after their dinner for cocktails and desserts.
